you know what this is....move along....nothing to see
Beggar in the Heights was formed in February 2018, after a collection of chance meetings and long conversations. We are a group of Glasgow Based musicians exploring the fringes of what we know, kind of, treading the line of what we can do, always.
Coming from many creative backgrounds, we work within alternative and conceptual styles to produce experimental rock, trying to be both abstract and personal (and understanding that those can be the same thing at times) and honest... or something....
Since our formation and successful debut concert in April of 2018, which took place in the Renfield Church in the centre of Glasgow, we have played several Gigs around the city, two sets at Belladrum festival in the North of Scotland and a headline concert in the centre of London at the Averard.
Currently we are preparing to launch our debut album 'Good Health' which was recorded over a week long residency in London at the Averard, a dilapidated hotel / arts venue in Lancaster Gate. Good Health will be released early June 2019, with tour dates to be announced alongside.
To see what we've done up to this point, there's a messy collection of things to see here in the archives.
Our target market is people who sleep at irregular times.
For fans of (or artists we like / rip off): Talk Talk, Max Richter, Godspeed You!
